Miss Wilmott was a famous Victorian plants-woman who had several plants named in her honour. Sweet peas were one of her favourite plants and this glorious salmon pink was her favourite colour. A hardy, fast-growing annual that provides both cut flowers and a delightful fragrance, it produces large flower sprays and attractive wavy petals. The tall plants have tendrils that allow them to grow up on supports such as garden netting or trellis.

Direct sow seed where plants are to bloom several weeks before the last expected spring frost date, or start seed indoors 4 weeks before the last frost date to obtain healthy transplants. Choose a sunny position and soil with good drainage. Sweet peas like to flower during cool weather. In areas with mild winters, like the Pacific Northwest, seeds can be sown in later summer and early fall to flower extra early in spring.
