This is one of the finest main-crop slicing varieties, developed at Cornell University. It produces 8in/20cm fruit that is delicious fresh or sliced in salads. Plants are easy to grow and vigorous growers. Resistant to mosaic or scab. Full fun.

Direct-sow seed after frost danger in spring, or start seed indoors 4 weeks before outdoor planting. Choose a sunny site and a fertile, well-drained soil. To save space, plants can be grown up a trellis or garden netting.
