Peas are a cool weather crop and can be sown from early April through to mid-May when the soil temperature is between 10-16C (50-60F)

This early, all-purpose variety produces long 4in/10cm pods filled with 7-9 sweet, tender peas. Plants are very productive 18in /45cm high. Easy to pick and handsome – an ideal variety for market and roadside stands.

Choose a sunny location and fertile, well-drained soil. Direct sow seed several weeks before the last expected frost date or start seed indoors four weeks before planting outdoors for earliest yields. Improve clay or sandy soils with compost.
