Leafy parsley is probably the most widely used garnish. In our long Canadian winters look no further than the root varieties. They are an easily kept and readily available source of that unique parsley flavour.

This is the flat leaf form of the popular, easy-to-grow garden herb. Leaves have a slightly richer flavour than curled parsley and are used as a garnish and for flavouring. Perfect in window boxes and other containers. This variety is widely used in European cuisine.

Although parsley seedlings are hardy and seed may be sown three weeks before the last spring frost date, the seed requires a warm temperature to germinate and may be slow to show signs of life. Better to start seed indoors 6 - 8 weeks before outdoor planting.
