The medium-large flowers are composed of three colours - an outer halo of yellow around a bright red zone all surrounding a black seed disk. This vigorous, tall variety produces multiple heads all summer until fall frost. The plants present a dramatic appearance, especially planted against sunny walls, and grow to above picket fences.

Sunflowers are fast-growing annuals and are best direct seeded where plants are to bloom after frost danger in spring. Choose a sunny position with good drainage. To grow from transplants, start seed indoors three weeks before outdoor planting.
