Pumpkins love hot weather. They need soil that is deep, rich, well-drained and organic with a pH of 5.5 to 6.5. Before planting work in lots of compost.
This is the variety for producing blue ribbon pumpkins. Bred for size, Atlantic Giant regularly produces pumpkins over 3ft/90cm across weighing over 100lb/45kg. Rounded to slightly flattened pumpkins start out yellowish and mature to orange. Great for decorating and kids just love them! Without a doubt, this is one of the world’s largest pumpkin varieties.
