This variety produces large, globe-shaped bulbs with crisp, firm, clear, tender flesh. Golden-yellow skin surrounds the bulb. The taste is sweet and mild. Our best large onion that is globular in shape. Produces well in all areas of the country. Under ideal conditions, these onions will weigh over 2.2lb (l kg) at harvest.

Choose a sunny location in fertile soil with good drainage. Direct-sow seed several weeks before the last expected spring frost date, or start seed indoors in a seed tray four weeks before outdoor planting to obtain healthy transplants. When transplanting, set the plants so that a portion of the bulb will mature above ground.
