Native to Europe and West Asia, Chamomile is one of the oldest and most popular garden herbs. The aromatic plants produce a large quantity of attractive daisy-like flowers on tall 24-30in (60- 76cm) stems. The fresh herb has a pleasing apple-like scent. The flowers make delicious tea which is noted for soothing indigestion and its sleep-inducing effects. The flower heads also make a pretty addition to potpourri.
