These tightly wrapped heads weigh between 6- 10lb/2.5-4kg. Medium to large heads grow to 8in/20cm in diameter. Danish Ballhead is especially suited for fall harvest and stores well in winter. This flavourful cabbage is enjoyed fresh, cooked, or used as sauerkraut.

Grow as a spring or early summer crop, also to mature during cool fall weather. Choose a sunny location in fertile soil with good drainage. Seed can be direct-sown into their permanent positions several weeks before the last spring frost, or start indoors six weeks before outdoor planting to gain healthy transplants.
