Size:

With minimal effort and relatively little space, you can produce tremendous yields of beans from compact bush-type.

This snap bean produces tender, crisp green pods. Beans grow on short, self-supporting vines, and will ripen in just 50-60 days. Plants are both insect and disease resistant. This snap bean is deliciously fresh, and also excellent for canning and freezing. An extraordinarily heavy producer yielding succulent, sweet 6in (15cm) long beans. Black seed.

To ensure a continuous harvest, sow bush-type varieties every 10 days until mid-July. Keep beans evenly watered, particularly when the plants are in flower and when production of the pods starts. Avoid the use of high nitrogen fertilizer. Nitrogen promotes excessive foliage. Avoid disturbing beans when leaves are damp to reduce the incidence of disease. Harvest as early as possible in the day.
