This easy to grow bean is both an ornamental climber and edible. Plant grows rapidly to 6ft (1.8m) or more, producing beautiful bright red flowers and long 6in - 12in (15-30cm) pods. Enjoy pods young as snap beans and as dry beans when mature. Plants may be used as a hedge or to decorate a patio or trellis. The stringless pods are delicious harvested and cooked young.

The growth requirements for pole beans are mostly the same as bush beans. The main difference is pole beans need to be grown on trellises, open weaving fencing, nylon bean netting strung between supports or on bamboo or pole teepees. Securely anchor temporary structures to prevent collapse during the growing season. Make sure irrigation supplements rainfall during droughty weather.
