Sow winter radish seed every 2 weeks in a sunny site with well worked soil from mid-July to late August for fall crops. Seed typically germinates in 4-6 days. Rapid growth is essential for tasty tender roots. Keep the soil evenly moist during germination and growth stages for best taste and texture. Winter radishes will often mature with the shoulders of the roots above ground level.
