Direct sow every 10 days in a sunny spot from late May to mid-July once the ground has warmed to at least 18C (65F). Germination typically occurs in 5-12 days. Beans do best in deep, well drained organic soil. Avoid disturbing beans when foliage is wet. Bean seed will rot rapidly when planted in soil that is colder than recommended.
