Emergency Pet Food…Taking Better Care of Man’s Best Friend

Good2GoCo carries the largest selection of long-term storage food in Canada.  We are very proud to offer a great selection – which by the way is growing monthly as we add on new and different products.  We also made the decision to carry emergency pet food – which can provide pets with needed food in case of an emergency OR provides a great daily source of quality food which is not readily available in the mass pet food market.  Many veterinarians and pet nutrition experts have weighed in on the fact that feeding pets (cats and dogs) freeze dried protein, veggies and fruit is one of the healthiest diets for our furry friends.  Dr Gary Richter, a well-known veterinarian and author states:

“Just as with humans, nutrition is the foundation of good health. On the whole, optimal nutrition for pets is simple. Feed pets a well-balanced, fresh, whole food diet in order to prevent and treat illness.  For this discussion, fresh food is defined as literal fresh food (cooked or raw), freeze dried, and dehydrated foods.”

Good2GoCo has partnered up with a Canadian pet food company – Happy Daisy.  All of their food is sourced, processed and packaged here in Canada.  Here is an excerpt from company founder of Happy Daisy telling her story….

A little over 4 years ago I started looking into what I could do to improve the health of Daisy my Yorkie.  I discovered dog nutrition and suddenly both of our lives changed. Not only did I spend over two years extensively doing research and becoming nutritionally certified, I finally turned my passion for animals into my life calling.

Since making the switch to fresh, species appropriate food + treats Daisy has been happy and healthy – in fact, she is the healthiest and happiest she’s ever been in life, and thus Happy Daisy started.  What’s the secret?  Our food and treats are all preservative free, salt free and additive free. We only use the best proteins (actual lean cuts of meat with NO by- products) as well as fruits, veggies and of course some secret (but EXTREMELY healthy, natural organic) ingredients. We are more than just a good food and great treat company; Happy Daisy is a lifestyle.

Many customers who have bought Happy Daisy have requested a chart which lays out feeding recommendations for Happy Daisy food when selecting food to feed their pet.  The owners of the company have provided these convenient charts for both dogs and cats:
